RAYS 57DR Gold 18x9.5 +38 5x114.3: GR Yaris Wheel Detail
The gold wheel shown here is a RAYS Gram Lights 57DR in 18x9.5 +38 with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. It was fitted to a Toyota GR Yaris at our Magill workshop with 245/40R18 Continental MC7 tyres.
For buyers comparing RAYS wheels in Adelaide, the numbers are as important as the colour. They describe how the wheel relates to the hub, tyre, suspension and bodywork.
Reading the specification
18 is the nominal wheel diameter in inches. It must match the tyre’s rim diameter.
9.5 is the nominal rim width in inches. Rim width influences which tyre sizes may be approved and how a particular tyre sits on the wheel.
+38 is the offset in millimetres. Offset describes the relationship between the wheel’s mounting face and centreline. It affects the wheel’s inward and outward position, so it cannot be considered separately from width.
5x114.3 describes five wheel fasteners on a 114.3 mm pitch circle diameter. Matching the bolt pattern alone does not prove that a wheel is suitable.
Checks beyond the headline numbers
Before a wheel is ordered, the workshop should also confirm:
- centre-bore and any approved locating hardware;
- nut or bolt seat type and suitable thread engagement;
- front and rear brake clearance;
- suspension and inner-barrel clearance;
- tyre-to-body clearance through steering and suspension travel;
- load suitability and intended road use;
- any suspension or ride-height changes on the vehicle.
This is why copying a specification from a photo or forum comment is risky. This wheel-and-tyre combination is a real workshop example, but each vehicle still needs verification.
Why gold works on this car
The 57DR uses a clean six-spoke layout that leaves the braking hardware visible and gives the compact GR Yaris a motorsport-influenced appearance. Gold creates an obvious contrast against the dark metallic paint without requiring extra graphics or body changes.
Appearance is personal, but fitment is technical. A good wheel package needs to achieve both.

Direct answers
What does 18x9.5 +38 mean?
It means an 18-inch wheel, 9.5 inches wide, with a positive 38 mm offset.
Is 5x114.3 the only fitment detail needed?
No. Centre location, hardware, brake clearance, width, offset, load and tyre clearance also matter.
Are these wheels sold individually or as a set?
Check the current product page and confirm the sales unit with the store before ordering; do not infer quantity from a photograph.
